Upcoming guided walks and gatherings
Step away from the rush of daily life and reconnect with the natural world in Franklin, NC. Join our intimate monthly group sessions, full moon walks, and seasonal retreats designed to restore peace, grounding, and renewal.
Featured community walks
We gather regularly in local woodlands to slow down and listen. Each session offers gentle invitations to awaken your senses. Space is intentionally capped at 20 participants per walk to foster a calm, supportive atmosphere.
Grief support walks
Held once a month, these walks provide a gentle, non-judgmental container supported by advanced training in grief companioning, letting nature hold what words cannot.
Full moon gatherings
Experience the woods bathed in evening moonlight. A calming sensory experience designed to release stress, welcome stillness, and attune to lunar cycles.
Seasonal shifts
Quarterly gatherings celebrating equinoxes and solstices. Observe the rhythms of the seasons in the Western North Carolina mountains and harmonize your own internal cadence.
Come exactly as you are
Forest therapy is not a hike or a workout—it is an invitation to slow down. There is no baseline fitness level required, and every walk moves at a meditative pace suitable for all bodies and walks of life.
What to bring and how to prepare
To ensure a comfortable experience among the trees, wear seasonal layers and comfortable walking shoes. We recommend bringing a bottle of water, bug repellent, and anything personal that helps you feel safe outdoors. If you prefer not to sit directly on fallen logs or the ground, you are warmly encouraged to carry a light camp stool or blanket.
How to reserve your place
To keep each gathering intimate and peaceful, attendance is strictly limited to 20 people. You can sign up easily by sending an email to contactus@returnhomeforesttherapy.com or giving us a call at 828-634-1081. We will share exact trail locations, parking details, and arrival times upon registration.
